Gold Price in Pakistan Rises Rs. 1,400 Per Tola Today

Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Monday, October 26, 2026, ending a five-day losing streak that had pushed the precious metal significantly lower in the local market.

According to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,400 per tola to Rs. 423,436. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 1,201 to Rs. 363,028.

The latest increase comes after several consecutive sessions of losses, offering some relief to gold traders and buyers following the recent market correction.

Gold Prices Recover After Five Days of Declines

The local gold market had faced sustained selling pressure over the previous five sessions. During this period, the price of gold declined by approximately Rs. 17,000 per tola.

On Saturday, October 24, gold prices dropped by another Rs. 2,500 per tola to Rs. 422,036. The steepest decline during the recent losing streak occurred on Friday, when the price fell by Rs. 7,000 per tola in a single session.

Before the downturn began, gold was trading at Rs. 439,036 per tola. Despite Monday’s recovery, prices remain well below that level.

Gold had reached a monthly peak of Rs. 442,036 per tola on October 10, 2026. At the latest rate of Rs. 423,436, the precious metal is still around Rs. 18,600 below that peak.

International Gold Prices Move Above $4,000

Gold prices in Pakistan followed an upward move in the international market.

The international price of gold increased by $14 to $4,009 per ounce on Monday, recovering above the $4,000 level after closing at $3,995 in the previous reported session.

International price movements are an important factor influencing Pakistan’s domestic gold market. Exchange-rate fluctuations and local market conditions can also affect the final price quoted by bullion dealers.

Although the latest increase has interrupted the recent decline, it remains too early to determine whether the market will continue recovering or resume its downward movement.

Silver Prices Also Increase

Silver prices recorded a modest increase alongside gold on Monday.

The price of silver in Pakistan rose by Rs. 20 per tola to Rs. 5,878, reflecting the upward movement across the local precious metals market.

Investors and jewellery buyers continue to monitor both metals as they assess changing market conditions and potential buying opportunities.

Is This the Right Time to Buy Gold?

The recent decline in gold prices may attract buyers who were waiting for a more affordable entry point. Monday’s increase, however, shows that prices can move in either direction following a period of losses.

Gold buyers should consider their financial goals, purchasing needs and ability to withstand price fluctuations before making a decision. Those purchasing jewellery should also account for making charges and other applicable costs, which can increase the final bill beyond the quoted gold rate.

For long-term buyers, comparing prices across several sessions may provide a clearer picture of market trends than relying on a single day’s movement.

Investors should also remember that a decline from a recent peak does not guarantee an immediate recovery or make future gains certain.

What to Watch Next

The direction of international gold prices, movements in the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, global interest-rate expectations and geopolitical developments could influence the local market in the coming sessions.

For now, Monday’s increase marks a recovery after five consecutive days of losses. Whether the rebound develops into a sustained upward trend will depend on how domestic and international market conditions evolve.

Buyers should check the latest APGJSA rates before making a purchase, as gold prices can change from one trading session to the next.
